I am the President of the Superior Auto Group in Sault Ste Marie, representing Chrysler, Nissan and Thrifty Car Rental. As a new member of the Strive executive, I look forward to helping the team achieve their growth goals and add a fresh perspective to an already successful core.
Mary Garside - Pinchin Ltd.
I am a Project Manager with Pinchin Ltd., an environmental engineering and consulting firm specializing in Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation. I coordinate spill management and remediation, commercial and residential assessments and audits and manage field and on-site environmental projects throughout northern Ontario. I am associated with Rotaract, STRIVE, the Sault Steelers and Sault Women in Business, bringing my enthusiasm and ambition to the Sault Ste. Marie community. I am delighted by the interest in the community for young professionals and the ambition of our local young leaders. I hope to continue the support and growth of STRIVE as an essential group to the diversity and prosperity of our city.

Carly Creagh - Freedom 55 Financial
With a B.A. in Community, Economic and Social Development, my passion is strengthening community and helping others. During my last employment with a non-profit, following a position at a local financial institution, I was approached by a good friend regarding a career at Freedom 55 Financial. Together we understood that this opportunity would be a great fit. I’ve been working as a Financial Advisor for over a year now. I am lucky that I get to help my clients actualize their potentials and achieve their goals & dreams, while remaining true to my passion of helping people and working within my community. I am excited to apart of STRIVE and the community of young professionals that come with. I strive to help other movers and shakers realize their potential and follow their passions in their careers, like I did mine.

I work at The Ontario Finnish Resthome Association as a Payroll Administrator. This is my first year on the Strive Exec as Events Officer. I look forward to working on some new and innovative events this year that will provide some great resources to YPs in the Sault. Sault Ste. Marie has an amazing group of young intra and entrepreneurs and I am excited to work along side them and support them.

I work as an Inbound Specialist at Ontario Lottery and Gaming. I graduated from Algoma University in the Spring of 2018 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Minor in Marketing. I have been a Strive member since 2016, and I am very excited to now be a member of the Strive Executive. I am grateful for the opportunity to make an impact in our community and to be a voice for young professionals here through Strive.

I currently work for the Community Development Corporation as a Community Project Officer. I get to oversee a variety of projects in which we work with community partners to try and create an impact through Community Economic Development practices. During my time at the CDC I have developed a sense of the importance of sustainability within a community and what it means to actively help shape the future and prosperity of the Sault. I strongly believe in Strive’s purpose and mission as a place for like minded young professionals to meet and grow professionally and personally. I joined Strive almost 2 years ago and have seen in a short period of time Strive make positive impacts within the community. I wanted to join so that I could be a part of this group of dynamic people and I am excited to be part of the executive as the Sponsorship Officer.

Paul Mason - the Disability Assistance Group
I am an original Saultie, moved back 2 years ago from downtown Toronto. I live and work downtown, running my own business, the Disability Assistance Group, helping people with disabilities get money from the government. I also utilize my B. Commerce degree as a financial advisor as well as. I can be seen daily walking downtown with my dog, Chewie, as well as my toddler and wife. Frequent stops are Outspoken Brewery, Ernies diner, and the Downtown Association, where I am a board member, and sit on/chair several committees. I am very excited to be part of Strive, as I feel the SOO is at a major turning point. Economically, politically, socially, and professionally. To be a part of that, helping the other members and executives in getting people involved, and developing the community of young professionals is important to me, as I am invested in seeing the Soo grow and develop. Oh, fun facts... I am an avid axethrower, just started a dodgeball league in the SOO,

Derek Jackson - Wardlaw Heating & Cooling Inc
I am fortunate to work as the Sales & Marketing Manager at Wardlaw Heating & Cooling. In my current role, I also act as the company's Health & Safety Manager and Human Resource Manager. As a member of the Board of Directors for the SSM Chamber of Commerce, I chair the SSMCOC Membership Acquisition and Retention committee and sit on the Business Development and Education committee. As Chamber of Commerce Liaison for Strive YPG I ensure open communication between both boards to continue our open and supportive working relationship. I feel both the Chamber and Strive are essential groups in our community to ensure a prosperous and dynamic future. This will help to facilitate growth, lessen outmigration and ensure The Soo continues to be an amazing place to live, work and play.
